Casa Burger — ordering without going through a platform

A restaurant selling delivery has two bad options: go through a platform that takes 25 to 30% of every order and owns the customer relationship, or take orders by phone only, with typos and engaged lines at peak time. The difficulty is not displaying a menu: it is holding the whole journey — variants, extras, time slots, delivery zones, payment, tracking — without a single step breaking on a busy evening.

A complete ordering journey, designed for the phone. The menu handles variants — combos, sizes — mandatory option groups and extras, with a free-text note sent to the kitchen. The cart switches between delivery and pickup without starting over, accepts promo codes, and the order goes through **without creating an account**: requiring sign-up before payment loses a share of the basket every time. Payment is cash, card on delivery, on site at pickup, or online. The customer follows the order on a dedicated page with a WhatsApp button, and can cancel until it is confirmed.

On the restaurant side, a back office that requires no technical skill: a kitchen view in columns, status changes with history, a product switched off in one click when it runs out, delivery zones with fees, minimums and free-delivery thresholds, targeted promo codes with quotas, automatic customer segmentation. Settings cover identity, colours, opening hours, VAT and payment methods — the product is built to be reinstalled and redressed for another venue.

An end-to-end ordering journey, from menu to tracking, and a back office the owner runs alone. No PHP dependency beyond Laravel was added: roles, permissions, audit log, media and search optimisation are written in the application — which avoids depending on a package abandoned three years from now.
